Insight Global CAD Designer (Mechanical & Plumbing) in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

Day to Day:

Creates/modifies drawings for coordination, and prepares final documents for review by the engineer of record.

Coordinates program studies and design scope requirements for renovation and/or remodeling projects.

Coordinates verification of existing conditions.

Produces design drawings and construction documents using AutoCad and Revit software.

Coordinates printing of final construction drawings to be sealed; transferring drawing dimensions from computer to hard copy, using peripheral equipment.. Reviews final drawings to verify completeness, clarity and accuracy.

Coordinates design presentation documents to include project renderings and finish boards.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

Musts:

Four (4) years of working experience under a licensed engineer is required.

Renovation experience

Associate's degree is required.

Ability to create detailed drawings using computer aided drafting programs; AutoCad and Revit proficient.

Ability to read, understand, and compose design specifications.

Ability to interface files (excel, google docs and AutoCAD and Revit files).

Strong mathematical skills and calculation ability are required.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.

Highly organized and detail oriented. Nice to have:

 · Bachelors Degree in Architecture or Engineering is strongly preferred

Two (2) years of working experience accepted with a Bachelor's degree. null
