Description

Jet Health, Inc / Klarus Hospiceis looking for CNA's - Certified Nursing Assistantsto join our team serving our patients inSan Antonio, TXand the surrounding areas.

The Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.

Requirements

  • Perform personal care tasks according to patient assignments and promptly attend to their needs

  • Ensure patient safety and use equipment properly, including foot stools, side rails, and oxygen devices

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, and changing bed linens

  • Assist patients with dressing, undressing, and feeding as needed

  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure

  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse Case Manager

  • Assist with ambulation, exercise, and other therapeutic activities as instructed

  • Offer respite care for patients, families, and caregivers as appropriate

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the patient's immediate living space

  • Adhere to documentation and care procedures, as well as standards of personal and professional conduct

  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and competency evaluation

  • Minimum of one year of CNA experience, preferably in home health or hospice care

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given

  • Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families

  • Current CPR certification

  • Valid driver's license, insured automobile in good working order

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills
