KBR's Defense Systems Engineering (DSE) business unit is seeking a Configuration Manager to join our Cyber Security Solutions (CSS) Operating Unit. CSS delivers defensive cyber services and solutions to the DoD, Federal Agencies, and Intelligence Community. The Division has the expertise and experience in leading edge cyber technologies and develops its own solutions to prevent unauthorized access to Information and Operational Technology networks and devices.

Job Summary: The Configuration Manager will support the 33rd Cyberspace Operations Squadron’s Defensive Cyber Operations Team onsite at Lackland Air Force Base. This position will be an active part of this unit and will be responsible for monitoring, securing, and protecting the Air Force and Central Command global networks by evaluating current infrastructure and configurations, gathering data, and proposing recommended solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Configuration Management efforts are performed on-site in the Mission Assurance Configuration flight during core hours

  • Manage and integrate DoD technical requirements and processes.

  • Evaluate and document the network configuration and infrastructure and determine where enhancements can be made

  • Remove redundant or excessive network components; provide recommendations for streamlining network configuration; evaluate problems with communications bandwidth requirements, particularly under periods of peak usage; and identify corrections and enhancements

  • Administer and manage the configuration control management process for organization mission networks

  • Conduct Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and provide meeting minutes to the COR no later than (NLT) 5 days after meetings are completed

  • Provide weekly executive roll-up briefings/reports of current and upcoming efforts for the organization

  • Maintain a quarterly/monthly report of completed projects

  • Maintain configuration management database of non-AFIN systems

  • Serve as the focal point for tracking life-cycle management of network hardware and software components

  • Ensure that proper license management and hardware life-cycle refresh is conducted

  • Document changes to internally controlled components

  • Other duties as related to the business functions of KBR, as assigned.

  • Advanced knowledge of network analysis tools, network analysis and communication protocols

  • High level problem-solving and communication skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals

  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to write technical content in relation to process enhancements

  • Project management principles and practices

  • Ability to work with various levels of personnel including senior leadership

  • Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Degree required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering required.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

  • Required to have one of the following IAT Level II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP – or an IAT Level III certification: CASP+ CE, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCNP Security

  • Required to have one of the following IAT CSSP certifications for Infrastructure Support: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND

  • Possession of one of the following certifications: CAPM or Project+

Experience:

  • Required minimum of five (5) of relevant configuration management experience; DoD experience preferred

  • Required minimum of five (5) years’ experience with network operating systems and technologies

  • Required minimum of five (5) years’ experience with networking hardware

    Other:

    · Ability to work Monday-Friday, 0730-1630
