Job Title: Food Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: San Antonio, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: 20/hr.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Food Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct supervision of operators, train new employees, and offer ongoing coaching to enhance performance. Your leadership will ensure that our production meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train operators, ensuring they complete Quality Assurance orientation and annual training on allergens, hygiene, safety, sanitation, HACCP, and GMP.

  • Train new employees on task performance and recipe completion.

  • Provide regular feedback on performance, recognizing excellence and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Coach operators needing additional support to enhance their skills.

  • Oversee the preparation of workstations according to assigned recipes, ensuring all materials and equipment are assembled.

  • Verify that raw materials, partially prepped food, and completed dishes meet Cuisine Solutions’ quality standards.

  • Report any quality issues to the Production Manager and/or QA immediately.

  • Ensure equipment is functioning correctly at the start, during, and end of shifts; report any malfunctions.

  • Verify adherence to workstation procedures, including accurate measuring and weighing of food items.

  • Ensure proper storage procedures for prepared food items in the sous vide cooking process are followed.

  • Enforce sanitation policies regarding temperature control, cross-contamination, food preparation, and cleanup.

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, including the proper use of knives, grills, ovens, and packaging equipment.

  • Assist operators with recipe procedures as needed for training or during high-volume periods.

  • Follow detailed instructions to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a culinary or food manufacturing environment, with at least 6 months as a Shift Leader.

  • Training Skills: Ability to train, explain, and answer questions regarding recipes, procedures, and measurement techniques.

  • Error Identification: Must be able to identify errors related to procedures, scaling, hygiene, sanitation, and safety.

  • Coaching Ability: Provide feedback and ongoing coaching to ensure corrections are made.

  • Attention to Detail: Critical for maintaining quality standards.

  • Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English; Spanish is preferred.

  • Listening Skills: Excellent listening skills are essential for effective interaction.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Team Interaction: Primarily interacts with other employees; rarely communicates with external vendors or customers.
