Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting/diagnosing mechanical or electrical issues, and machine repairs in an industrial bakery environment. Must be familiar with the following equipment: conveyors, pumps, motors, industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Must have at least 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent degree and willingness to learn, share, and apply knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial bakery equipment.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.

• Repair and maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Ensure equipment is in good working condition to support production needs.

• Collaborate with team members to address maintenance issues and improve processes.

Essential Skills

• Electrical troubleshooting

• Mechanical troubleshooting

• Experience with conveyors and equipment maintenance

• Ability to read and interpret schematics

• Knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, and 480v electrical systems

• Experience in food manufacturing and understanding of GMP

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED

• 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience (preferably in food/beverage industry)

• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics

Work Environment

The work environment will be in an industrial bakery that handles products for various companies. It is a non-climate controlled facility, requiring flexibility to work in both hot and cold conditions. The plant can get dirty due to the manufacturing process and ingredients used. Employees must be adaptable to work on electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and facilities maintenance issues. Shifts available: 1st shift (5:00am - 2:00pm), 2nd shift (2:00pm - 11:00pm), and 3rd shift (10:00pm - 7:00am).
