Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the success of various commercial, industrial, and educational projects by utilizing your expertise in electrical design and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients and other disciplines to ensure project success.

• Utilize AutoCAD while learning and applying Revit.

• Engage in electrical design for commercial, industrial, and educational projects.

• Design electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and lighting control systems for various project types.

• Perform routine calculations such as sizing distribution equipment, feeders, and branch circuits.

• Generate equipment schedules and code compliance documentation.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.

• 1-3 years of experience as a Project Designer in building power and lighting systems.

• Working knowledge of building codes, NEC, and CA Title 24 requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electrical design, industrial design, commercial building, and educational projects.

• Knowledge of fire alarm systems, construction documents, and code compliance.

Work Environment

You will start out working 3+ days in the office with 2+ remote days, with increasing remote work opportunities over time. The company offers a family-oriented culture with internal events, development courses, stock plan opportunities, and a deadline-driven but relaxed work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00

• Health Insurance: 100% coverage for the employee. You can add dependents at your own cost.- Dental Insurance: 100% coverage for both the employee and family.- Life Insurance: $25,000 coverage provided. Additional coverage available at your cost.- Sick Leave: 5 days annually, non-cumulative.- Vacation: 80 hours annually, renewed on your anniversary date.- 401(k) Retirement Account: contributes 3% of your salary.- Bonuses: Offered based on company performance. Bonuses have been given every year except during the 2009 recession and 2020 due to shutdowns.- Holiday Closure: Office closes between Christmas and New Year's, providing about one additional week of paid vacation.- Team Building Activities: Includes whale watching tours, company baseball games, end-of-year dinner parties, go-kart racing, and more.- Education and Development: 100% coverage for external education, certifications, and other training.- Travel Reimbursement: Monthly reimbursement for Project Managers, depending on the amount of travel.- Benefit Probation Period: After an 80-day benefit probation period, the 401(k) retirement account contributions begin.
