WMC MARKETING OPERATIONS

Marketing Operations within the Walmart Connect Marketing team is a small and mighty team. We are the owners of Marketing Ways of Working, Process Mapping, Tools, Budget & Headcount and Creative Operations. Our scope spans all x-functional teams within marketing, WMC and Walmart teams. If there is a process that needs to be figured out, we are typically the first team asked to help guide clarity and map out R&Rs and a clear way of working. It's our job in marketing operations to ensure the processes across WMC Marketing are consistent and streamlined.

JOB OVERVIEW

As the Manager, Marketing Operations of Finance the primary responsibility will be management of financial operations inclusive of AOP planning, forecasting and tracking of multiple budgets for the WMC Marketing organization. You will also be the liaison between the marketing and business operations/HR to manage headcount inclusive of process management for opening job requisitions, tracking hiring status and reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations.

You will also serve as a crucial liaison between marketing, procurement, legal, and finance, ensuring seamless approval process flow and reporting for all Marketing contracts. Your role will involve comprehensive project management from gathering documentation, facilitating approvals, flagging risks, project tracking in Workfront and reporting.

Additionally, since the current process is not a one size fits all, we are looking for flexibility and a level of comfort navigating through situations and adapting to change as the business needs evolve.

This is not a remote role - the associate hired will spend the majority of time in the San Bruno Office.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Budget planning and management

  • Lead monthly budget status meetings with senior leadership

  • Guide marketing procurement requests through the approval process expeditiously

  • Provide real-time status updates to partners

  • Manage all projects in Workfront

  • Promote communication between cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, legal, finance, and senior leadership.

  • Manage headcount, including process management for opening job requisitions, tracking hiring status, and reporting to senior management

  • Guide collaboration and efficient ways of working for the procurement process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field and 1 years' experience in marketing operations, business management, or related field OR 3 years' experience in marketing operations, business management, or related field. 2 years' experience using Microsoft Office tools (for example, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Proficiency in Workfront

  • Experience in change management

  • 2+ years experience in project management

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
