Walmart (USA) Manager, Business Development, Home in San Bruno, California

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The ideal candidate is motivated, creative and tenacious with 3+ years of business development experience who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business. You will build key relationships, identify new opportunities and close business deals while maintaining knowledge of current market conditions.

What you will do:

Drives business growth by developing and maintaining internal and external business relationships; understanding mutual value propositions, risks, and benefits; and supporting engagement and dialogue with stakeholders to mitigate risks, resolve issues, and realize value propositions and subsequent business objectives.

Drives the overall sales strategy to ensure highest valuation by directing sales and the management of key accounts; negotiating and purchasing any sub primal need that is not met with internal supply chain; managing outside purchases needed to meet specifications and procurement guidelines; ensuring partners deliver on agreed contractual terms; and overseeing the exception approval process.

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

What you will need:

• 3+ years' experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or related field

• Experience in collaborating with many different cross-functional partners

• Experience in consumer-focused retail or ecommerce / marketplace environment

• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills with comfort presenting and building relationships with executives at retailers

• Tenacity, dedication, with strong ownership and autonomy

• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high stake, pressure to deliver results, type of environment where you are not afraid to take bold decisions and be highly accountable

• Experience leading deal negotiations in the eCommerce Marketplace space and can take on your previous experience, business acumen and great intuition to deliver & close high-impact partnerships

• Strong leadership characteristics that are unique to you but that also align well with our Walmart Values

• Motivation to make an important impact in the long-term trajectory of one of the most strategic businesses for Walmart, and the responsibility that comes with it

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing or related field and 2 years' experience in Business Development, Market Development, Product Development OR 4 years; experience in Business Development, Market Development, Product Development

• 3-5+ years' experience in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, or related field

• eCommerce, Corporate Retail experience, presenting an understanding of Merchant/eCommerce business

• End2End sales cycle knowledge/experience

• Experience with Cold Calling/Emailing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM

• Experience with Hubspot or Outreach

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10649/Bellevue, Washington US-11075:The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00-$186,000.00

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00-$202,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
