ASI Hastings has an immediate need for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Apprentice Duct Installer.

The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently with great attention to detail, should have exceptional multi-tasking skills and be organized and able to perform in a fast-paced environment. This is an hourly, nonexempt, at-will position. Must be available to work full shifts plus overtime.

We provide paid training, no experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve existing accounts by assisting lead installers Install ductwork in residential buildings

• Gather components, parts, and tools to complete the installation

• Maintain rapport with customers, communicate details of work being performed, and educate on use of new system(s)

• Document service and installation by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records

• Complete all tasks in accordance with ASI's quality and safety standards

• Attend weekly training meetings to consistently sharpen your skills

  SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

• Comfortable working with your hands and have a willingness to learn the HVAC Industry

• Ability to work in tight spaces

• Be professional with customers and promote a positive company image

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions

• Excel within a team environment and willing to support all areas of our business

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Work is performed in and/or around residential properties (attic, garage, crawl space, roof)

• Moderate physical effort required, including standing, squatting, sitting for extended periods of time.

• Occasional exposure to physical risk such as heat in excess of 100 degrees, sun exposure, walking up ladders in excess of thirty feet, along with exposure to insects, rodents, and sewage

• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75lbs

• Frequently ascend/descend ladder and maintain balance

• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
