HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION

The Catering Sales Manager develops strategies and oversees the planning and execution of events both internally and externally for the Event Sales Department. This position reports to the Director of Catering Sales.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for oversight of event sales team, including but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, training and performance management.

  • Strategize, plan, and imple

  • ment events for internal and external clients.

  • Carry out details and logistics of all events and lead/participate in future event development.

  • Responsible for oversight and implementation of Event Sales Team policies and guidelines

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    The Event Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of events, encompassing both paid and non-paid initiatives, as well as offsite meetings and events. This role requires adept relationship-building skills with various departments, the ability to maintain composure under pressure, and competence in managing high-stress environments. The ideal candidate will thrive as an independent worker, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach to event planning and execution.

JOB EXPERIENCE

  • 4+ years experience managing a team and overseeing team regarding compliance with established guidelines.

  • At least 5 years experience with event planning and management.

    EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of 2 or more employees

  • Working knowledge of food and beverage and banquet style services.

  • Working knowledge of catering menu planning and development.

  • Strong working knowledge of food & beverage safety standards.

  • Familiar with trends in catering, food & beverage and hospitality industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a diverse environment.

  • Able to operate word processing, spreadsheet, and database systems (ReServe Cloud knowledge preferred).

  • Able to communicate effectively (verbal and written).

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
