Description We are on the lookout for a Controller to join our team in the industry located in San Diego, California, 92108, United States. As a Controller, you will be entrusted with the management of accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions. You will be a crucial part of providing accurate financial information to assist in making economic decisions about our future.
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Overseeing tax policies and ensuring the establishment of accurate tax practices
• Managing tax functions such as preparation and submission of tax filings, tax audits, and tax research and analysis
• Directing the preparation of financial reports, including monthly financial statements and compliance reports to lenders
• Managing the annual financial statement audit
• Collaborating with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate deductions and enforce internal controls related to hiring, termination, and rate changes
• Overseeing the Payroll Manager and directing the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payment of all employees
• Working closely with the CFO to provide timely and accurate communications to lenders, investors, and interested third parties
• Utilizing various skills such as '3M', 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'CRM', 'Crystal Reports', 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Auditing', 'Budget Processes' to effectively execute your role Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role such as Controller.
• Proficiency with 3M and other relevant accounting software systems.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CRM and Crystal Reports is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Proven experience in auditing is essential.
• Demonstrable understanding and experience with budget processes.
• Must have a strong ability to manage and oversee all accounting operations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
