John Asdell with Robert Half is partnered with national industrials company seeking a Corporate Controller to lead the team as the company embarks on a season of very high growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, developing strategic financial objectives, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and laws, and performing complex accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general operations of our growing accounting department.

• Develop and implement financial policies, systems, and processes.

• Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations and laws.

• Work along with senior management to set financial objectives, make critical decisions, and prepare budgets.

• Monitor internal controls of the company.

• Implement and maintain the company’s accounting systems and software - experience with NetSuite is preferred.

• Oversee tax planning and compliance, manage relationships with external auditors and relevant authorities, and coordinate all audit processes.

• Draft technical memos as needed

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting and financial management practices.

• Experience in managing and growing an accounting department in an industrial setting.

• Experience with Inventory Management is valuable

• Proficiency in accounting software – experience with NetSuite or similar software is highly valued.

• Demonstrated knowledge of advanced accounting principles, industry standards, laws, and regulations.

• Excellent leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

• Strong technical accounting skills.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly valued
