The Director of Marketing, Medication Preparation & Clinical, US Region will lead developing the vision, multi-year growth strategy and annual marketing plans design and execution to meet business goals for MMS preparation solutions in US Health Systems. The position will work in close partnership with US MMS Sales Leadership and the Global Marketing teams to ensure that short and long-term growth objectives for the Business are achieved. The role is responsible for $30M annual estimated revenue with double digit growth expected including market development. Additionally, the leader will contribute to overall MMS growth, by driving clinical marketing initiatives, customer engagement programs and professional industry organization partnerships. The position leads a small team and reports to the Vice President of Marketing, MMS, US Region.

The position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Day to day US Region marketing leadership responsible for meeting growth targets in Health Systems for BD MedKeeper.

  • Create and execute programs to support above market growth rates to deliver on ASR commitments

  • Drive market shaping and development initiatives

  • Consider broader MMS go-to-market and market dynamics

  • Measure program effectiveness and share of category gains

  • Partner with Global Platform Marketing on market development initiatives while driving the adoption of new enhancements and other innovations through full marketing launch support plans. Provide voc and input into future product development roadmaps.

  • Utilize BD Way of Marketing to design and execute programs.

  • Maintain and track market share of category and stay on top of changing market dynamics.

  • Identify new business opportunities and target accounts. Develop marketing programs to retain and increase penetration in existing BD customers and convert competitive accounts. Measure and track program effectiveness and marketing return-on-investment.

  • Effectively leverage digital marketing programs and Business Development Representatives (BDR’s) to deliver Sales Qualified Opportunities, considering a full omnichannel approach where appropriate.

  • Partner with Sales Leaders to drive sales process rigor, training, and funnel management to drive profitable growth. Remover barriers and help with objection handling and competitive positioning.

  • Leverage value-based pricing strategies, creative go-to-market models and contracting excellence to accelerate sales growth and profitability.

  • Responsible for monthly demand forecasts and quarterly financial forecasts. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Operations to ensure timely and accurate communication of sales forecasts and key drivers of performance.

  • Work with the Medical Affairs team to design and implement data collection, studies, and workflows on BD products. Liaison with MMS marketing regarding evidence generation deployment.

  • Identify, maintain, and help cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, professional associations, and the MMS customer advisory board.

  • Design customer/KOL engagement strategy.

  • Marketing talent retention, coaching and development.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required / Master’s preferred

  • Clinical degree required; PharmD, RN

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience within relevant marketing roles in med device, software

  • Experience working in healthcare industry required, capital experience preferred

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights and measure marketing effectiveness

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven track record of presenting ideas effectively across different audiences

  • Proven leadership abilities and people management skills

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels of organization and across locations

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Track record and passion for delivering results

  • Strategic thinker who can navigate ambiguity and complexity

  • Growth mindset

Strong Customer Focus including value proposition development, needs identification, training development, experience w ith sales force and customers, and a bias towards responsiveness.

There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

Salary Range Information

$158,500.00 - $285,300.00 USD Annual
