This position reports to the Area HR Manager and is a member of the Composite Sealing Systems (CSS) division leadership team. Your most close working relations will be with the CSS General Manager, the divisional functional leaders and your HR team. The CSS division has four locations across North America with an international HR team.

Responsibilities:

The major responsibilities for this role are (1) leading the Human Resources function for the division and (2) partnering with the CSS leadership team to deliver division results. The CSS division has sites in Mexico, Connecticut, and California.

To be successful in this role, you will need to use a broad set of skills and capabilities, such as:

  • Strategic Partner – understanding of and involvement in business issues, participation in business task forces, lead talent & succession programs, provide program management of workforce planning, skills assessment, succession planning, learning and development, champion of company culture and management practices.

  • Employee Champion – lead programs that provide employee’s open, candid and frequent information-sharing with management, develop employee engagement tactics, develop self-directed teams, ensure inclusion, and ensure the work environment provides opportunity for recognition and openness.

  • Operational Expert – delivery, continuous improvement and automation of HR processes such as benefits administration, performance management, employee record keeping, recruitment/staffing process & strategies, occupational health/safety, compensation/pay activities.

  • Change Agent – act as liaison for leading and motivating change, assist in the modification of systems and structures to support needed change, measure progress of change and institute change management tools and concepts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Human Resources or a related field; an advanced degree or Human Resources certification preferred. Job requirements:

  • Minimum of eight years of Human Resources experience is required

  • Demonstration of career progression is required

  • Understanding of HR related laws, including, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title 7, Age Discrimination Act, and state law statutes.

  • Experience supporting a matrixed global multi-national company is preferred.

  • Familiarity with both professional and manufacturing environments

  • Experience in maintaining positive employee relations and a highly engaged workforce.

  • Demonstration of continuous learning for oneself and others

  • Travel will be required to all CSS locations.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $147,877 annually to $258,802 annually.
