Hybrid: 4 days in the office and 1 day remote and based in San Diego, CA
Job Description
Working under the direction of the Associate Director of Global Product Management and in collaboration with the MedBank™ Platform team, R&D, Quality, Software Deployment Solutions, Operations, and other key functions and regions, will be assigned to develop, own, and drive key projects associated with Global Product Management activities to execute the MedBank™ strategy and business objectives.
The Product Manager role supports key areas in a global context:
Functions as an SME for regional marketing in-market product portfolio support and business continuity, including global demand planning in partnership with cross-functional counterparts.
Represents Marketing on product development process core team; drives tactical implementation of product roadmap and portfolio strategy and derives arguments in partnership with regional marketing counterparts.
Responsible for stage-gate, governance, and commercial excellence adherence in partnership with Core Team Leader.
Contributes to product portfolio and Product Lifecycle Management strategy; assists in execution of value engineering and overall product sustaining. Supports and drives quality and regulatory activities to meet BD Quality requirements.
Assists Platform leadership in identifying product-specific growth opportunities and investments, including next generation products and line extensions.
Responsible for product line revenue/GP objectives to support delivery of overall Platform targets; provides input on Platform Key Business Objectives.
Partner with regions to develop and deploy product-specific marketing plans/campaigns, articulating value proposition.
Partner with regional counterparts to analyze critical metrics like MedBank™ install base and Share of Category, and offer input on pricing corridors for the product line.
Essential/Key Job Responsibilities
Act as critical resource for defining, driving the strategy, and delivering results for the in-market MedBank product portfolio.
Understand market landscape, trends, customer needs, and experience. Identify and fill product/service gaps. Generate new solutions to improve customer experience, grow category share, and increase revenue.
Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Define the product vision and work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to achieve revenue and customer happiness goals.
Provides recommendation into product line-related business decisions and resource planning.
Builds and maintains product requirements, roadmaps and strategic oversight with collaborators.
Scopes and prioritizes technical and commercial requirements based on business and customer impact.
Develops arguments to support new product and business opportunities.
Ongoing support of the Global Product Development Process (GPDS) by active engagement in peer reviews of product deliverables.
Supports the vetting of innovation ideas to be used for business leadership decisions on priorities and actions.
Communicates and collaborates with domestic sales force and global marketing entities.
Serves as a product and procedure expert to provide technical support to regions, and assist in training, meetings, and conventions.
Demonstrates strong competence in business and marketing to conduct market assessments and provide strategic recommendations.
Establishes strategic and tactical go-to-market, including product-level positioning, pricing, and messaging to be used by sales and marketing.
Leads and manages market research activities (e.g. voice of customer) to develop fact-based customer insights.
Conduct market/environment sensing (e.g., product market share, opportunities for acquisition, strategic areas for growth).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant business experience in product management, marketing, market research, business development, sales & data analysis, and customer experience improvement initiatives.
Experience in regulated medical device industry preferred.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and presentation skills.
Good understanding of systems integrations / health care IT interoperability preferred.
Knowledgeable in medical device cybersecurity & privacy compliance requirements including but not limited to HIPAA, SOC2, FIPS etc. preferred.
Strong technical (software, digital, AI, cloud, and hardware) understanding around automation solutions that help manage medications and supplies preferred.
25-30% travel.
Previously led product line project / program projects.
Good understanding of phase-gate product development processes preferred.
Cross functional team experience preferred.

Salary Range Information
$107,500.00 - $177,300.00 USD Annual
