Job Description

Our client who is a leader in medical technology and software applications is seeking a dedicated Backend Java Engineer to join our team supporting their Online Store. As a Backend Java Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our e-commerce solutions. You will work mainly on back-end components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

Day to Day:

• Maintain scalable and robust web applications using Java and related technologies.

• Implement and customize e-commerce solutions on the Elastic Path platform.

• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them with various front-end and third-party applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the software development and e-commerce spaces.

• Knowledge of Java Message Service (JMS) concepts and their implementation.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.

• Solid understanding of back-end technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, and RESTful API development.

• Experience with databases such as MySQL & PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React

• Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Expertise in Elastic Path platform development and customization. null
