About being our Office Engineer / Field Engineer

As ourOffice Engineer / Field Engineeryou will provide essential technical support and manage various aspects of project administration, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and in alignment with project goals.

Responsibility Highlights for our Office Engineer / Field Engineer

  • Oversee and maintain comprehensive documentation on job sites, including contractor submittals, Records of Materials, Force Accounts, change orders, progress payments, project files, meeting agendas, and notes.
  • Develop and maintain a robust document control system, including version control, access permissions, and archiving.
  • Collaborate closely with the Resident Engineer and Construction Observers to track key project metrics such as costs, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Occasionally visit job sites to review progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Processing documents and progress payments
  • Monitor Prevailing Wage Laws and Regulations
  • Monitor and enforce labor compliance

Minimum Qualifications to be our Office Engineer / Field Engineer

  • Valid California PE License
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management)
  • 7+ Years experience in construction office or related public works projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite

  • A competitive salary! The expected range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hourdepending on experience.Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates
