Aerotek Quality Inspector in San Diego, California
Job Title: Quality Inspector (3rd shift)
Job Description
Under general supervision, you will perform product inspection and/or audits of quality assurance programs. Responsibilities include sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and packaging line and manufacturing inspections. You will inspect and test products manufactured or processed by suppliers to ensure conformance to requirements and specifications, identify materials and processes as conforming or nonconforming, write simple reports of findings for review, and enter required data into the system. This position involves working with hyperbaric, electrical, mechanical test fixtures, and procedures, maintaining verification of equipment working conditions and calibration requirements, notifying errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and router to the support teams, completing documentation accurately and timely, and maintaining high-quality standards and workmanship.
Hard Skills
Understanding and use of hyperbaric, electrical, mechanical test fixtures, and procedures
Maintaining verification of equipment working conditions and calibration requirements
Completing documentation (shop order and FATs) accurately and timely
Entering data into the IFS system accurately and timely
Setting up pressure vessel equipment parameters for test using correct fixture for each part tested
Reading and interpreting drawings for correct wiring and connections
Using a microscope, multimeter, calipers, height gauges, and miscellaneous electrical equipment
Reading technical drawings and procedures
Computer literacy, including working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, and ERP systems such as IFS
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work safely with minimal or no direct supervision
Ability to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work from verbal directions
Ability to learn from peers
Maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all departments within the company

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.
Work Environment
Manufacturing Environment. Must be able to work during the week and adhere to the safety standards and quality expectations.
