We are assisting a prominent real estate firm in their search for a detail-oriented Real Estate Accountant. This position plays a crucial role in managing financial operations specific to the real estate sector, including property accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. The position is contract or contract-to-hire, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in real estate finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for real estate projects.

• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow for multiple properties.

• Collaborate with property managers and leasing agents to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with leasing agreements.

• Support audits and assist with financial analysis related to property performance.

  Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).

Previous experience in real estate accounting or property management (preferred).

Strong understanding of real estate finance and accounting principles.

Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
