Job Description

A customer in the San Diego area is looking for a Unified Communications Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing enterprise UC/VoIP solutions for large DOD networks. They will be responsible for designing the UC architecture, configuring and deploying UC systems, and integrating UC solutions with existing network infrastructure applications. Their day to day will consist with upgrading the base area network in over 104 rooms on the base alongside project team to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure. This is a fully remote role.

Skills and Requirements

-Secret Clearance

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or related field

-10 years of experience designing and implementing enterprise UV/VoIP solutions

-DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification

-Deep understanding of UC technologies, including SIP, VoIP, QoS, and collaboration tools

-Experience with major UC platforms like Cisco, Avaya, or Microsoft Skype for Business.

-Knowledge of networking protocols, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and security best practices null
