Job Description

Your Team

The Sr. Construction Business Analyst – Field Applications, will be responsible for liaising with business users and team members to provide support for complex issues with the company’s various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) related systems and projects. The S r . Business Analyst will take more accountability in delivering tasks with less guidance from management. An elevated degree of self-sufficiency, responsibility, and accountability is expected. The Sr . Business Analyst provides business expertise to projects/initiatives including implementations , second and third level support of operational applications, third p arty and c ustom a pplications. The S r . Business Analyst will lead efforts to enhance processes and drive efficiency by collaborating with users and leveraging business applications. They will also be responsible for supporting the business users to translate business process into functional system use for all operational systems and custom applications . This could include technical system work with end users at all levels of the organization.

Your Key Deliverables

  • Understanding the business process and how they are applied to the operational applications.

  • Investigating, troubleshooting, problem solving and resolving business process mapping issues to the operational applications.

  • Leading investigation into business related problems using the operational applications and taking the accountability in seeing problems to resolution.

  • Drive process improvement and efficiency through best practice education, application configuration, and effective software use.

  • Administering configurations for the operational applications.

  • Assisting with the requirement gather ing for functional improvements and translating these suggestions to technical groups.

  • Assisting with requirement gathering and testing for reporting needs.

  • Investigating, troubleshooting, problem solving and resolving operational application functionality related issues/complex incidents and providing third level support , including root cause analysis, testing and documentation.

  • Reviewing, coordinating and/or executing implementation plans for operational appl ications and maintenance updates.

  • Providing technical support to 10+ operational units throughout the company.

  • Assisting with other ad-hoc technical requests .

  • Interacting with users and IT personnel at various levels within the organization, and externally.

  • Implementing new automated solutions, when identified .

  • Lead all team members by example through coaching, mentoring and serving as an escalation point.

  • Assisting team members in troubleshooting operational application issues , identify problems and troubleshooting business process mapping issues associated w ith the operational application suite.

  • Providing training to end users and peers.

  • Producing high quality training material and coaching/mentoring others . ​

  • Writing , review ing and updat ing documentation for the business processes and how they apply to the operational applications.

  • Collecting, assigning and tracking outstanding tasks and initiatives to improve application capabilities.

  • Following Change Management Procedures when deploying changes to the various environments, which includes testing, documenting and deployment.

  • Adhering to all audit and compliance related guidelines and procedures.

    Must Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems , Business Management, Computer Science , Architectural Science, Engineering or a combination of related experience and education

  • 5+ years field management experience in residential home construction or related construction experience considered an asset.

  • Experience with Hyphen BuildPro / SupplyPro or similar/related residential construction management software .

  • A valid Passport and the ability to travel (North America/cross-border). The position will require periodic travel.

  • 5+ years of problem solving, debugging skills and application support experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment with changing priorities

  • Ability to integrate different vendor products to provide overall solutions.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and a willingness to work after regular hours , if required

  • Experience working within a PM structure would be an asset.

  • A result oriented, customer focused individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment. ​ ​

  • Project management and/or project scheduling experience in residential construction or related industry utilizing project scheduling software considered an asset.

    Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with Constellation Newstar Suite, Salesforce, InformXL , Land Dev, PMWeb and/or Homeowner Central is a benefit.

  • Experience and working knowledge of integrating applications is desired.

  • Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $105,000 USD ​

  • Eligible Bonus: 20%
