Job Responsibilities:

• Manageand support the entire Software Technology Solutions(STS)’s product portfolio including the BD Connected platformand the products enabled through it

• Ability to work well with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations

• Take the lead in developing product management best practices and frameworks

• Create and maintain a cohesive roadmap, incorporate feedback, and adapt to evolving technological landscapes, ultimately contributing to the successful launch and ongoing enhancement of technologically sophisticated products

• Partner with Development and business leaders when it comes to working with third parties, whether it’s evaluating APIs and capabilities, mapping out integration plans or evaluating different technology options

• This role will play a key part of a core leadership group that will shape the future direction of the development of smart connected devices across BD. They will work cross functionally with the business to understand the customer needs and deliver products to marketwith high quality and a reasonable timeframe

• Build and manage technical product management team in supporting platform capabilities supporting multiple business units

• Take on key department wide initiatives, working with a variety of cross functional stakeholders to improve the overall technical capabilities within the organization

• Build strong leadership teams, attract, and develop talent. Create a strong culture of collaboration, transparency, improvement, and accountability

• Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage

• Follow competitors and conduct capability analysis regularly

• Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or Information Systems

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Software Development and Architecture with specific focus on building SaaS products and IoT development

• 5+ years in a leadership role required with teams of technical product managers overseeing SaaS products

• Leading teams across a large complex ecosystem of API first products and diverse stakeholders

• Healthcare Industry experience is a plus.

• Experience in building large scale/complex data intensiveand application systems

• Experience in building service-based architectures

• Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)

• Experience in HIT Connectivity and exposure of Medical Devices Industry

• Experience in designing, coding and debugging in multiple software languages

Additional Requirements:

• Hybrid in San Diego, preferred. Remote employees should be ready to travel once a month to San Diego

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates’ progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

$199,600.00 - $359,300.00 USD Annual
