Job Description

Insight Global is lookinh for a Sr Test Engineer in the San Diego, CA area. The Sr Test Engineer will act as a QA and Automation Development Engineer for software releases. This role is responsible for software integration, qualification, and automation, verifying whether the software behaves according to client requirements and customer expectations.

* Develop & automate test environment & qualification status to support software integration testing

* Ensures successful completion of system-level testing, reliability testing, and any activity required to support a quality software release.

* Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues arise during testing, raise defects, and ensure the delivering project accepts ownership

* Creates test result documents/ visualization dashboards as required to support internal and external program reviews.

* Provides support for software development team to create software branch, integrate to release branch.

* Other duties as assigned

PR: $60-80/hr

Skills and Requirements

* Requires a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering in related field

* 8+ years of Test Engineering experience

* Experience working on Linux and/or Unix operating systems.

* Knowledge or experience with programming, scripting, and test automation in Python

* Experience with working in Agile teams

* Experience with test driven development (TDD), and/or behavior driven development (BDD)

* Analytic skills needed for initial investigation of issues and expertise in debugging
