Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$57.361 - $74.014 - $90.668

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Under the general supervision of the Imaging Manager, the Advanced Imaging Quality Supervisor is responsible for the overall regulatory compliance of the Radiology/Imaging Department. Also responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive Quality Control/Quality Assurance program. The position provides cohesive management, supervision, and leadership in the assigned areas of services.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.

  • 3 Years Supervisory experience in an imaging department.

  • 3 Years Experience in implementing and maintaining an imaging quality control program.

  • 3 Years Experience of direct regulatory compliance.

  • ARRT Certificate - ARRT -REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Holds technical certifications in multiple modalities: CT, MRI, Mammography, etc.

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Current registration with A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist). Certified by the California Department of Health.

Essential Functions

  • ComplianceDirects and supervises the routine flow of radiologic procedures, studies and treatments under clinical supervision of the Radiologist.Maintains a system for reporting results of all radiologic studies and the billing procedures associated with them.Responsible for a high performance level for all staff members in accordance with quality standards and state, local and federal requirement.Serves as the positive catalyst for staff to achieve departmental goals and for staff to perform at high a level as possible.

  • Daily operationsPromotes the integration and coordination of departmental functions with other departments and services within the Medical Group through developing and implementing collaborative standards.Participate in interdepartmental performance improvement activities and provide mechanisms to promote communication in the department.Facilitates communication between the Imaging Department and members of the Medical Group, Administration, and other departments to enhance patient care services.Develops and ensures implementation of operational standards within the department which promotes the maintenance of patient rights (informed consent, explanation of patient expectations, maintenance of confidentiality and patient information, ethical considerations, and handling of patient complaints).Coordinate orientation and training of the technical staff.Schedule and coordinate day-to-day staffing of technical personnel.Establish optimal schedules, scanning protocols, and billing checks for CT and MRI patients.Establish procedures and standards that promote optimal levels of patient and staff safety.Advocate the goals and interests of Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, especially with regard to interactions with sales and service representatives of all Medical Systems.Work cooperatively with the department clerical supervisor/representative to ensure appropriate clerical support of the Radiology Department.

  • Human resource managementDevelops, reviews, and manages the activities of self and other personnel in the department based on current and appropriate demands for service.Actively participates in clinical and Departmental committees and group meetings with a focus on providing input regarding improving the quality of patient care services in the facility.Ensures that problems/concerns regarding the Imaging Department and other related areas are communicated to the Imaging Manager.

  • New programsResponsible for start-up of new programs – developing systems, policies and procedures for technical aspects of the Radiology Department.Assist imaging manager with implementations and maintaining projects while staying within budget.Support, implement and follow-through with rounding and documentation.

  • QualityCollaborates with Radiologists, Imaging Manager and Imaging Supervisors ensuring clinically standardized and quality focused care to all patients.Maintains imaging services in accordance with the standards established by Sharp, AAAHC, Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.Maintains radiation safety in the clinics through personnel monitoring, equipment monitoring, placement of warning signs in radiation areas, formulation of appropriate policies regarding radiation safety, and education of personnel.Implements a well-defined QA program for all modalities.

  • Teamwork and trainingDetermines personnel requirements for the Imaging Department and recommends/implements policies and procedures to maintain an adequate number of competent staff.Formulates individual positions required of personnel requirements for these positions.Interviews applicants for all positions and makes recommendations for hiring in accordance with Human Resources policies.Provides for orientation and continuing educations by all staff members with a focus on department-specific knowledge and skills required for competent performance of position responsibilities.Makes recommendations for addition/deletion of particular positions within the Department based on operational requirements.Follows established Human Resources policies for the evaluation, promotion, counseling, and/or termination of individual employees.
