Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$28.686 - $35.857 - $43.029

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

What You Will Do

Serves as a coordinator and liaison between Sharp HealthCare and nursing and allied health programs for applied learning experiences. Coordinates education opportunities within Sharp to meet applied learning requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years' experience in an administrative with advanced knowledge and skill using Microsoft applications and department specific software.

  • 2 years' experience with exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1 year experience with database management and compliance requirement database.

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification - Various-No accreditation board

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is required within 6 months of hire. The department will track and maintain this certification.

Essential Functions

  • Clinical Affiliation Agreements/Contracts Collaborates with Program Manager, Learning Programs on new contracts and revision/renewal of existing contracts for content and compliance.Ensures clinical affiliation agreement is in place prior to facilitating applied learning experiences.Communicates with students or schools when agreements are not current or do not exist.

  • Community Liaison Represents Sharp HealthCare as an active member of the San Diego Service-Academic Education Consortium.

  • Applied Learning Experiences/Student Placement Manages the process for applied learning experience approvals, denials, and compliance verification.Initiates and maintains communication with Sharp HealthCare site contacts and schools, to include education of Clinical Affiliation process, tracking of placement requests, and notification to schools of status.Works with Sharp HealthCare departments to ensure smooth onboarding for students (including access to electronic health record as needed).

  • Customer Service Displays effective customer service in all forms of communication (e.g., in-person, phone, virtual, and email) and demonstrates timely response to inquiries and requests.

  • Database and Website Management Acts as a Program Administrator for the compliance requirement database, overseeing background screening, managing clinical rotations, and ensuring that both student and faculty compliance requirements are met.Provides input about content on the 'Instructor and Students' resource page on sharp.com; ensures currency of information.Provides feedback on updates to the compliance requirement database to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Reports and Documents Maintains department records, documents, and correspondence for efficient retrieval.Provides reports on a scheduled or as needed basis, to keep internal and external stakeholders up to date; may include student acceptance and denials, annual community benefit, health and safety updates, disease surveillance and accreditation status.Provides input, data, and notification to Sharp HealthCare leadership regarding matters relating to clinical affiliations and applied learning experiences.

  • Professional Competency Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is required within 6 months of hire. The department will track and maintain this certification.
