ProLog, Inc. Warehouse Specialist in San Diego, California

Prolog, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Warehouse Specialist to support for the Logistics Support Team Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) warehouse in San Diego, CA. on Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) during normal working hours of 06:30am-3:30pm PST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm the Unit Identification Code (UIC), National Stock Number (NSN), and other relevant details on receipt documents, cross-referencing quantities received with documented amounts.

  • Inspect and verify inventory documents for accuracy, including checking shipping boxes for multi-packs; report any discrepancies to the Designated Government Representative (DGR).

  • Sort and organize materials in the warehouse according to UIC, document serial number, and location.

  • Notify the DGR when receipt documents are damaged or unreadable; generate administrative or DTO receipts for materials with non-compliant documents.

  • Transport, deliver, and stow materials using government-owned electric carts, providing manifests for all delivered items.

  • Deliver materials to ships and warehouses, ensuring proper stowage and accurate documentation of deliveries and locations.

  • Issue materials from storerooms, confirming all details and maintaining accurate logs of issued materials; ensure proper documentation is generated and compliant.

  • Maintain and update records of all actions related to material deliveries, stowage, and issuance, as required by government personnel.

  • Ensure access compliance for base, pier, and shipyard deliveries, including maintaining current Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) access.

  • Load and unload commercial and government vehicles, verifying shipments and preparing necessary documents; operate forklifts up to 6,000 pounds as required.

  • Offload materials from warehouses or ships, document quantities, and deliver offload materials to designated locations.

  • Package and prepare materials for shipment according to DLA and NAVSUP regulations; transport shipments and maintain records of delivery.

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization daily, ensuring safety and order; report any unsafe conditions or cleanliness issues.

  • Provide daily reports and metrics, including the number of receipts processed, parts stowed and issued, and pallets handled; maintain accurate records and documentation for all activities.

    Qualifications:

  • The Warehouse Specialist Contractor shall have working knowledge in requisitioning procedures, receipt processing, Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance, warehouse operations, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), storage onload/offload, shipping and transportation procedures.

  • Licensed to operate forklifts capable of handling loads up to 6000 pounds (Forklift drivers must possess a valid state driver’s license and valid OSHA approved forklift license /certificate.

  • Knowledgeable in the operation of and be available to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as Pallet Jacks, Hand-trucks and like, hand-operated MHE.

  • Must be either a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident with a minimum of 3 years of legal residency in the U.S.
