Our client is a private Equity Real Estate Investment firm in San Francisco. They have seen outstanding returns in each of their 3 funds. They are a small but mighty firm that tends to run more than 20 projects at one time.

This opening is for their Family Office which covers a variety of responsibilities including bill pay, treasury, tax compliance, estate planning, philanthropy, and property management. Most of the day to day data entry is outsourced to outside vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Controller with various accounting tasks and financial reporting for the Family Office and Investment Funds.

  • Oversee quality control and manage external professional services firms.

  • Maintain general ledgers and accounting records for the Family’s properties and investment portfolio.

  • Oversee the alternative investment portfolio, manage capital calls, and engage in new investment opportunities as identified by the family.

  • Handle bill payments and monitor bank account balances.

  • Review and organize monthly bank/brokerage statements, including downloading and filing bank statements and tax documents.

  • Process payments and maintain records for government and compliance tax filings.

  • Assist in the preparation of year-end tax workpapers and supporting documentation for the external tax team.

  • Reconcile and manage various schedules.

  • Produce quarterly personal financial statements and other reports as needed.

  • Execute special projects and perform administrative functions as requested.

  • Collaborate with the Controller and Owners to enhance the internal control framework

    Requirements

Qualifications – Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.

  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting/operations.

  • Proficiency in accounts payable and general ledger functions is required.

  • Proficient with Google and Apple ecosystems, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office; experienced with video communication software like Zoom; adept at learning new applications.

  • Familiarity with Yardi Voyager and QuickBooks is preferred.
