Your mission will be to enhance the efficiency of AIML Information Intelligence's Search products across iPhone, Mac, and VisionPro platforms. We need someone with a deep understanding of systems and operating systems, particularly in performance, memory, and power consumption. You should have hands-on experience with power/performance testing and automation. In this role, you'll independently lead our performance testing initiatives, focusing on optimizing CPU, power, and memory usage. You’ll be working in a dynamic, multi-functional environment where your expertise will make a significant impact. Description

As a Systems Performance QA Engineer, your primary focus will be on optimizing the use of system resources such as CPU, memory, and power. You will design and develop tests and tools to assess how efficiently these resources are used. Analyzing test results to identify and report issues related to CPU, power, and memory will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you'll collaborate with multi-functional teams to enhance resource efficiency and boost overall product performance. You'll also be responsible for creating dashboards to provide effective reporting and monitoring of performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in power testing and automation

  • Experience in systems performance testing and automation

  • Experience in Swift/XCUITest/Python/Javascript etc

  • Experience testing mobile frameworks and/or applications

  • Experience developing automation frameworks

  • Experience developing automated software tests

  • Experience developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects

  • Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond

  • Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent industry work experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
