Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Controller to join our client's organization. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with excellent leadership abilities, strong financial acumen, and a proven track record in developing and implementing effective financial strategies.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing all aspects of financial operations including accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and cash management.
Developing and implementing financial policies, systems, and procedures, and ensuring compliance with the same.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring that they are accurate, timely, and in line with the company's regulatory and legal requirements.
Collaborating with the executive management team to make financial decisions that align with the company's strategic objectives.
Identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue maximization, and making recommendations accordingly.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.
Managing the year-end audit process and liaising with external auditors.
Supervising, mentoring, and developing the finance department's staff.
Participating in strategic planning, risk management, and capital management decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. An MBA or a professional certification like CPA or CMA is preferred.
Proven experience as a controller or a similar financial leadership role, preferably in our industry.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, financial analysis, budgeting, cash management, and corporate finance.
Expertise in financial software and databases.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
High level of integrity, with a strong commitment to ethics.
Proficiency in regulatory compliance and financial reporting.
