Jacobs Electrical Engineering Professional Intermediate in San Francisco, California

Plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities, including commercial and institutional projects. Manage multiple projects simultaneously including design and perform calculations for lighting systems and a sociated controls. Prepare load analysis for different stages of design. Prepare drawings detailing the system designed. Prepare basis of design report for the project. Prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms, select equipment and fixtures for use in the building and coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects. Prepare load calculations for medium to large systems, 12kv systems and 600v systems. Implement basis of design documents and project execution plans. Apply national electrical codes and other building codes as required. Utilize Revit & AutoCAD to set-up projects and publish work. Perform footcandle calculations and applying the correct luminaria to the application. Maintain proper footcandle levels and max to min levels using AGI32, VISUAL 3D. Perform short circuit and breaker/relay coordination studies and arc flash studies using ETAP, SKM, EASYPOWER.

Telecommuting is allowed.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, and 2 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer or closely related occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Planning and designing electrical systems for buildings and facilities, including commercial and institutional projects. Revit, AutoCAD, or Microstation. AGI32, VISUAL 3D. ETAP, SKM, EASYPOWER. National, state, or other standard electrical codes. Determine load calculations for 15kv and below systems.
