Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

The Field Service Technician is a pivotal role within our equipment team, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our equipment at various client locations. This role encompasses everything from installation to maintenance, requiring a technically skilled individual who can efficiently manage complex issues. Key responsibilities include managing the replacement, installation, removal, and maintenance of equipment at tradeshows and customer restaurant locations. Additionally, the technician will provide training to restaurant operators on equipment usage, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting, address minor technical issues, oversee preparation and inventory of materials for events, and coordinate logistics for material transportation.

Hard Skills

  • 1-2 years of troubleshooting

  • 1-2 years of hand tools experience

  • 1-2 years of experience with mechanical systems

  • Experience with pumps, regulators, small motors, flowmeters

  • Electrical experience with multimeters and wiring

  • Inventory control/organization

Soft Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Francisco, California.

Work Environment

The role is split 50% local and 50% travel to tradeshows across the country, with expenses covered. Local time is primarily spent at the Fremont warehouse, with occasional visits to the SF office. Responsibilities also include coordinating materials and setting up equipment at tradeshows, assisting other field service technicians with local client machine maintenance during downtime. Mileage and tolls are reimbursed, but the candidate must use their own vehicle. The technician will perform 4-5 service calls per day.
