The General Manager, Lending position will report to Head of Lending Products.
As the General Manager, Lending, you will:
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of individuals from multiple departments - Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Data and Analytics, Risk, Pricing, and Capital Markets - to meet yearly goals.
Own the customer experience from Origination through Servicing.
Influence and execute a multi-year vision and strategy to grow the business, and to communicate short- and long-term product goals and profitability objectives, working closely with key stakeholders to manage product KPIs including, but not limited to, NPS, NIM, CAC, Funnel conversion.
Partner with the Affiliate/Partnerships and Marketing team to identify and close value-creating strategic partnerships and alliances that lead to growth.
Be responsible for owning P&Ls for one of the Earnest lending products and will report to Earnest's Head of Lending Products, a member of the Earnest Executive Team.
Your Impact:
Drive growth in the business and own all aspects of the business P&L.
Develop and continuously update the overall strategy for the business.
Manage a cross-functional team to accomplish goals set during strategic planning.
Drive key product initiatives to completion.
About You:
10+ years of demonstrated related work experience with an emphasis on product management, product development, finance, and/or general management; Consumer lending--credit card, personal loan or student lending--a plus.
4 - 6 years of experience as a strategic critical thought leader partnering with business owners to define and translate needs into business requirements and product solutions.
4 -6 years project management experience with leading large, complex organizational wide initiatives.
Proven success managing high-performing, cross-functional teams and business units.
Experience managing a growth P&L.
Strong people management and EQ - you can set the tone for your team; driving towards results within a positive work environment.
Data-driven decision mentality, strong analytics, and common sense.
Creative approach to solving problems.
MBA preferred.
Willingness to travel to the Oakland office 2 -3 times a week to collaborate with other Earnies.
Where:
This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
This role requires a hybrid schedule, with 2-3 days a week spent in our Oakland office.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related qualifications, internal compensation, and budget. This range may be modified in the future.
Pay Range
$186,000—$211,000 USD
