The opportunity

  • ESG due diligence analysis for technical and commercial reviews

  • Data collection, organization, and analysis

  • ESG report writing

  • Assurance work under environmental and social international frameworks such as the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation

  • Transition risk and opportunity analysis following International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) S1 and S2 and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) standards

  • Advising on Environmental. Social, Governance (ESG) frameworks and conducting analysis such as materiality assessments

*Required:  *

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business or Finance, or similar with coursework in engineering, economics, business and/or applied math/sciences where relevant  

  • Completion of at least one relevant internship while pursuing the above degree(s)  

  • Strong interest in infrastructure project development, delivery and/or operations  

  • Knowledge of basic business and operational concepts  

  • Strong quantitative skills with good knowledge of MS Excel  

  • Proficient in MS Office suite  

  • The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment  

  • Demonstrated long-form writing experience (e.g., reports) to diverse audiences with varied technical understandings

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working  

  • Presentation skills with colleagues and clients at all levels  

  • Analytical mindset and/or strategic thinker  

  • Flexible and out-of-the-box innovative thinker

  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally  

*Preferred:  *

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science/Management, Occupational Health and safety or Green Finance.

  • Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese with English)  

  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques  

  • Additional relevant work or internship experience with a contractor, design firm, financial sector or cost consulting firm.  

  • Relevant experience across a variety of project types in both infrastructure and buildings e.g. rail, bridges, tunnels, large office/mixed use etc.  

  • Working understanding of project development process and project finance  

  • Coursework in infrastructure, construction economics, or construction management  

  • Knowledge of Excel financial modeling techniques and VBA a benefit. Programming languages also a plus.

San Francisco Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco, CA is $75,500 to $82,500 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco, CA will differ.
