Robert Half Paralegal in San Francisco, California

Description

We have an exciting contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal with a fantastic law firm in the bustling city of San Francisco, California. This role involves managing caseloads, assisting in the development of systems and processes, and supporting the firm's attorneys.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple cases simultaneously, including intricate electronic discovery and third-party subpoenas

  • Provide support in managing document collections and productions

  • Assist in the preparation, filing, and serving of pleadings in state and federal court, as well as in arbitrations

  • Coordinate the organization of exhibits and other supporting documents for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trials

  • Offer support during arbitrations and trials, including the preparation of witness binders and coordination of witnesses

  • Interface with court personnel and third-party vendors

  • Utilize various software such as Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, calendaring software, Westlaw, electronic filing systems in state and federal court, transcript management software, and electronic discovery databases

  • Maintain composure while managing multiple priorities under pressure

  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.

  • At least 4 years of significant civil litigation experience in state and federal trial courts.

  • Strong research and writing abilities, coupled with excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Proficient in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, calendaring tools, Westlaw, state and federal court e-filing systems (and related portals), transcript management software, and electronic discovery platforms like Everlaw and Relativity.

  • Adept at handling high-pressure situations and juggling multiple priorities with professionalism and composure.

  • Self-motivated problem-solver with a proactive approach to challenges.

  • Brings a sense of humor, curiosity, camaraderie, grit, and an adventurous spirit to the team.
