Amazon Planning Systems and Data Analyst, eero in San Francisco, California

Description

Forecasting and planning are critical functions at eero that involve working closely with the Sales, Finance, Demand Forecasting, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure forecasting accuracy and streamlined planning processes across our retail and ISP channels.

As a Planning Systems and Data Analyst, you will support use case intake, architecture development and maintenance of apps in the eero forecasting system (Anaplan), as well as related ETL processes.

You will be responsible for bridging the gap between Sales, Manufacturing Operations and Finance teams for sales planning and analytics through use of data and automation.

You will help turn requirements into designs, users stories, and insightful planning models by collaborating with numerous stakeholders and the Planning Systems and Data Lead.

This is a cross-functional role with an outsized impact across numerous high-profile processes. This role will report to the Planning Systems and Data Lead.

Key job responsibilities

  • Engage and delight end users of sales, demand and financial planning tools by creating new models and developing new features in existing models

  • Develop and maintain modules that replace email and spreadsheet-based manual processes for planning use cases in Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Finance and other areas identified in the future

  • Administer and maintain the business data hub, helping ensure the relevant planning data, which is distributed across multiple systems, is accurately consolidated within our planning and financial systems in a scalable way

  • Closely collaborate with the Planning Systems Data Lead as well as Sales, Finance and Manufacturing Operations teams and gather requirements to build a continuously improving planning process. Some examples include: 1) improve upon existing automated, per channel forecasting methodology, 2) create dashboard views for Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, Manufacturing Operations and executive team audiences, 3) support for the cross-channel supply allocation process by building a sophisticated data model, 4) build new modules/use cases into the planning system (i.e. supply planning)

  • Develop, track and evangelize the metrics that are critical for achieving customer satisfaction, operational excellence and planning accuracy

  • Assist the eero/Amazon Bizops, Finance and BI teams with technical expertise in relation to various business systems integrations

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in systems implementations or process design

  • 2+ years of experience being a super user/builder in one or more of the following planning platforms: Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, IBM Cognos TM1, Vanguard etc.

  • Experience with dimensional data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL tools and concepts

  • Experience in sales forecasting, supply chain planning and/or financial planning

  • Anaplan certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technology/hardware/consumer electronics industry exposure

  • Experience with process documentation and design

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies

  • Experience with SQL

  • Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $153,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $264,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
