Amazon Portfolio Success Manager, Climate Pledge Fund in San Francisco, California

Description

Amazon seeks a customer-obsessed senior leader to own and nurture our relationships with Climate Pledge Fund (CPF) portfolio companies and accelerate our path to net zero. Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of Amazon’s peculiar ways of working, be familiar with the practice of venture capital, and be proven startup founders and corporate operators.

Key job responsibilities

• Support the financial needs of the portfolio companies through follow-on venture investments and ongoing investor relations responsibilities.

• Drive adoption of portfolio company technologies inside Amazon and externally with strategic partners (Climate Pledge Signatories, vendor partners).

• Continuously raise the bar on CPF programs, processes, and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in business development or corporate development.

• 5+ years experience as a startup founder or early senior startup leader.

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment.

• End-to-end experience identifying, negotiating, and closing complex, first-of-a-kind transactions.

• 5+ years experience as an enterprise startup founder

• 2+ years experience in investment banking or venture investing

• 2+ years experience in sustainability and/or climate tech

• 2+ years experience designing and launching new programs and services
