Meta Product Marketing Manager, Privacy in San Francisco, California

Summary:

Meta is seeking an individual who is passionate about Privacy to help build on Meta’s privacy program. This position will be responsible for helping to execute against launch plans to bring our privacy commitments and narrative alive. In doing so we support our external narrative to our customers and regulators. The focus of this role will be on driving requirements into planning and building alignment across the entire Meta family of apps. Building relationships and collaborating with central policy, product and privacy legal, research, comms and marketing teams along with app specific stakeholders will be a core component of the role. The successful candidate is motivated by building alignment and being a stakeholder in our privacy narrative and strategy. While this role is not technical in nature, it requires a keen understanding of how our platform is constructed and the ability to dive deep into a technical feature in order to educate ourselves and internal parties. The right candidate will be an avid learner in areas like accountability, designing with privacy in mind and how new technology innovations will further push the need for privacy focused strategies.

Required Skills:

Product Marketing Manager, Privacy Responsibilities:

  1. Shape narratives for cross-company privacy work (i.e. regulatory requirements with the FTC and GDPR)

  2. Understand product implications of the most critical industry trends regarding privacy

  3. Understand and synthesize implications of regulatory trends and competitive practices around privacy and privacy influencer ecosystem developments to shape product development and compliance priorities

  4. Work closely with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure internal customers of Central Privacy are represented and heard

  5. Partner with the Business Marketing, Communications, Policy, Product, Marketing Research and other key teams

  6. Be willing and able to flex between multiple topics and tactical/execution responsibilities on a variety of projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 5+ years marketing experience with 3+ years experience working in a communications, product marketing, product strategy or equivalent function (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements)

  3. Experience leveraging consumer insights and data to drive product marketing strategy

  4. Experience working closely with product and design teams in the product development process

  1. Experience managing products and policies that involve data use and privacy

  2. Experience in building and supporting product solutions for highly regulated industries (i.e finance, healthcare, etc.)

  3. Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment

  4. Scrappy, resourceful, action and detail-oriented, with a high ownership mindset to deliver measurable impact

  5. Quantitative analytical experience and communication skills

Public Compensation:

$122,000/year to $176,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
