Google Program Manager, Asset Portfolio Strategy in San Francisco, California

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management, Economics, public policy, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience managing programs and processes across distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s, PhD degree, further education or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science or other technical related field.

  • Experience program managing internal systems and teams, and experience in operational system and organization.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional role with finance, commercial, and technical teams.

  • Experience or knowledge of corporate sustainability and corporate operations.

  • Ability to solve complex issues with problem solving and ability to think outside the box to structure creative new agreement types.

  • Excellent cross-functional and communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels including executive leadership team, peers, managers, and junior staff.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As our products and services scale the globe, the Energy and Location Strategy (ELS) team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure to secure Google's future. The Cloud and Asset Portfolio Solutions (CAPS) team sits within ELS, with the core mission of serving as the interface between the global data center delivery and portfolio management function and our product customers requiring data center space. We provide the programs, strategies, and tool sets for our regional negotiation and execution teams to consistently make high-quality decisions at scale, faster, and with less risk to meet the needs of Google’s business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work with the CAPS leadership team to create and manage organization strategy and optimization plans, budgets, track headcount, and coordinate across CAPS responsibilities to efficiently communicate and effectuate CAPS work where cross-functional partners need awareness.

  • Work across CAPS functional area leads, ELS Data and Analytics Central Business Unit teams, and ELS Regional teams to respond to coordination headwinds and need to prioritize CAPS operations and deliverables accordingly.

  • Stand up internal archiving and tracking of key presentations, approvals, and notes.

  • Develop internal explainer documents and presentations to educate leadership on initiatives, needs, and impact.

  • Organize CAPS team meetings, feedback, and team well-being events and education, and support internal and external event engagements, communications, and presentations.
