Google Senior Interaction Designer in San Francisco, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in product design or UX.

  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.

In this role, you will leverage your interaction and service design skills to inform a critical growth period for Google Fi Wireless. As a design lead, you will be responsible for driving road maps from early definition through to launches, and partnering with cross-functional leads to create intuitive, scalable experiences across Google Fi's offerings.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.

  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes.

  • Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.

  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop a clear system for Google Fi's plan portfolio and pricing.

  • Own and hone several critical user journeys, including dynamic states that customers encounter across the Fi acquisition funnel.
