Job description:

We are looking for an expert Software Development Engineer who has a strong background in healthcare interoperability solutions. This is an outstanding chance to join Capgemini, a leading global company in the digital and software engineering industry. As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a vital role in crafting and developing microservices for a healthcare interoperability gateway. Your focus will be on implementing data exchange protocols and standards such as HL7, FHIR, and SMART on FHIR, using Azure API Management to build a secure API layer. Through your work, you will ensure the utmost security and privacy of patient data in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Craft and develop microservices for a healthcare interoperability gateway

• Implement data exchange protocols and standards using Azure API Management

• Ensure the security and privacy of patient data in compliance with HIPAA

• Work closely with complementary teams to conceptualize, build, and release innovative features

• Use Azure DevOps for the creation of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 to 7 years of shown experience as a Software Development Engineer in Life Sciences

• Strong understanding of HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare data standards

• Hands on experience with PostgreSQL and in programming languages such as Java, Spring boot, ReactJS, JS, C#, Python, or similar

• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development

• Hand on experience using OAuth, OAuth2, Azure Key vault

• Deep understanding of Azure cloud services, especially Azure API Management, and Azure DevOps

Nice to have:

• Extensive experience securing API’s and API management

• Familiarity with security protocols, data encryption, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR)
