We have an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Business Analyst in the Supervision Operations unit within Supervision and Credit (S+C). The Sr. Business Analyst will use business knowledge and analytical abilities to evaluate existing processes, provide recommendations on operational optimization and quality improvement initiatives while leading the implementation of solutions and strategies. In addition, will provide operational and administrative support to bank examinations teams and develop MIS reporting and analysis to drive decisions on group operations, planning, and business issues.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a business analyst, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an understanding of quality management principles and standard processes. You have deep experience gathering requirements, process mapping, and creating operational improvements. You have exceptional written, verbal communication skills and are a strong collaborator able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and drive a culture of continuous quality improvement. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute operational support activities throughout the life cycle of examinations including but not limited to proofreading supervisory documents, document management, tracking of results, data entry and verification of exam content within various applications

  • Develop, implement, and monitor a quality management framework. Coordinate the build out of reporting mechanisms to provide real-time insight into quality metrics and performance

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand and map current processes. Identify key controls, roles, responsibilities and expectations, difficulties, and bottlenecks to improve current processes

  • Define, implement, and communicate new operational processes and / or strategic solutions.

  • Develop and gather business requirements for the development of management information system (MIS) reporting and analysis. Analyze relevant MIS, business data and metrics to uncover insights and trends

  • Partner and lead projects and activities to address business needs. Develop, analyze, and monitor metrics to ensure business/project effectiveness

  • Lead change management efforts to drive user adoption of new technologies and quality control processes (i.e., managing key implementation results, assessing business process change, identifying solutions to address gaps in technology products)

  • Lead the design and/or delivery of training and training materials to internal and external partners

  • Work with exam teams to develop and update internal procedures and documents based on business changes

  • Prepare and deliver focused and thoughtful reports, persuasive presentations, or other correspondence to a wide range of internal and external partners at all levels

  • Research, evaluate for suitability and/or and leverage external best practices for internal application

  • Provide support with cross functional activities, projects, and data analysis as they arise

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Typically requires five or more years of relevant experience in in project management, business requirements gathering, process mapping, business process improvement and/or analytical methodologies.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite in particular Excel, Visio, SQL, PowerApps or other similar tools.

  • Experience collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting data to drive business decisions.

  • Experience working cross-functionally to meet internal and/or external partner needs and can effectively communicate moderate to complex information to a broad range of audiences.

  • Experience working with constant priority changes while executing effectively and consistently.

  • Experience in the use of visualization software (e.g., Tableau) is beneficial but not required.

  • Financial institution supervision experience and knowledge of Federal Reserve System-level activities are beneficial but not required.

  • Travel up to 5%.

  • This position requires access to confidential supervisory information, which is limited to “Protected Individuals.” Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens and U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents who are not yet eligible to apply for naturalization, and U.S. permanent residents who have applied for naturalization within six months of being eligible to do so or who will sign a declaration of intent to apply for naturalization before they begin employment.

Base Salary Range: Min: $97,600 Mid: $126,800 Max: $155,900 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.

Due to the nature of access to sensitive information all final offers are subject to the clearance of an enhanced background check. This enhanced screening will require the following items: academic and employment verifications, FBI fingerprint check (criminal and civil cases), credit check, family history, residential records and foreign travel for the previous 7 years, citizenship verification, reference checks, and personal interview with an investigator and can take between 21 – 60 days to clear.
