As a DevOps Engineer at Zoom, you’ll ensure 99.999% uptime with zero-downtime solutions and disaster recovery. You’ll troubleshoot production, enhance CI/CD, and apply skills in Terraform, Ansible, OCI, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes—joining an award-winning, collaborative workplace.

About the Team

With eight specialized departments, the engineering team functions as a highly collaborative, diverse powerhouse. Each department mission is to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. These range from software development and machine learning to quality assurance teams that work to create and maintain Zoom's user-friendly interfaces and robust infrastructure. The team continues to push the boundaries of communication technology, bringing people together regardless of their physical distance.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implement zero-downtime to accomplish highly available service (99.999%)

• Designing and implement disaster recovery (DR) between different region Datacenters

• Troubleshooting complex production issues, including performance and function issues

• Cooperating with vendor and infrastructure, engineering team for security and service availability

• Providing deep level of outage troubleshooting for systems and Zoom backend service

• Providing the CI/CD model to deploy and configure the production system

  ​ What we’re looking for

• Hold a BS degree in a related field, MS is nice to have

• Hold 5 years of experience in a similar position

• Have excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication skills

• Have excellent Terraform and Ansible skills

• Have knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration

• Experience with Mysql, Redis in production deployment and troubleshooting

• Be familiar with OCI and AWS technology including Cache, NoSQL DB, Rational DB and storage etc.

• Have Kubernetes experience (AWS EKS ideal) and proxy/web server familiarity

• Be familiar with proxy service or server for web application

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$94,600.00

Maximum:

$218,700.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
