Stryker is seeking to hire a Manager, PMO to support our sustaining team at Stryker Endoscopy (https://www.stryker.com/us/en/endoscopy.html) . You will be at the forefront of optimizing our project management practices, ensuring that we deliver exceptional value across all our initiatives. This role is hybrid, in San Jose, CA with the expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.

What you will do:

As Manager, PMO - Sustaining you will be responsible for establishing and governing a business process to intake, triage, prioritize, and execute on sustaining projects for the Endoscopy Business Unit’s entire portfolio of medical devices.

  • Establish a business process to intake, triage, prioritize, and execute on sustaining projects for the Endoscopy Business Unit; ensuring projects have a positive return on investment and meet business objectives.

  • Provide Sustaining Business Process Training to stakeholders and new team members.

  • Develop Talent – Manage project manager(s) working on projects and/or sub-process owners

  • Collaborate with BU leadership to define, manage and own Sustaining Business Process Scope.

  • Create and maintain sustaining budget with cross-functional managers and directors. Optimize, monitor, and maintain costs within budget.

  • Estimate, acquire, prioritize and assign cross-functional resources. Provide direct feedback to functional manager on performance reviews. Coach and mentor team members. May recruit, hire, onboard, manage, and develop direct staff.

  • Develop a Stakeholder engagement plan for Sustaining, based on the identification, analysis and understanding of Stakeholder expectations and requirements.

  • Develop and Execute communications management plan for sustaining teams, key stakeholders, and business leaders.

  • Lead engineering changes requiring use of NPD resources to support Post-Market Quality teams

  • Define and manage project scope, budget and schedule

What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific engineering

  • 8+ years of combined experience in project management and engineering with a focus on new product development within medical device or a highly regulated industry

Preferred:

  • PMP or PgMP or equivalent preferred

  • Previous direct people management experience

$146,600.00 - $239,900.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
