Kratos Microwave Electronics, Inc., a Kratos' company, is looking for a Senior Quality Manager to work onsite at their San Jose location.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:Develops, implements, and maintains activities of quality control systems. Ensures manufacturing processes and quality control measures conform to military and company standards. Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Responsible for maintaining adequate aerospace certification (AS9100) for the business. • Oversees development and implementation of standards and processes for manufacturing. inspection, test, and evaluation. • Ensures manufacturing processes and products conform to military and company standards. • Develops, Maintains and Publishes Quality KPIs. • Conducts MRB reviews and relates activities. • Makes recommendations for root cause and corrective action necessary to ensure conformity with quality standards.• Selects and trains personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the Quality function.• Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinates.• Engages and collaborates daily with engineering and manufacturing to resolve issues as they arise and guide the organization for continuous improvement. • Develops and updates program specific quality control plans in accordance with program SOW requirements. • Interacts with senior management on continuous improvement efforts. • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Required Experience:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:• Well versed in ISO and AS industry standards. • Well versed in MIL-STD-883 and IPC-JTD-001. • Experience with LEAN 6 sigma methodology. • Well versed in various RCCA methodologies like 5 Why’s, Fishbone etc. • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.• Experience in Data Analysis is considered a plus. • Experience in Space Hi-Rel requirements is considered a plus. • Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the Essential Job Functions, including computer skills.• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.• Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.• Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.• Seasoned domestic business traveler.• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.• Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.• Ability to obtain Security Clearance, if needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or minimum of 6 years and a Master's degree; or 12 years equivalent work experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• Office and/or manufacturiing environment.• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).
