General Description

The Operations Governance department is responsible of managing financial, operational and regulatory matters for the Operations Division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversight the FDIC 370 process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including establishing and implementing appropriate strategies.

  • Lead the daily activities to ensure operating effectiveness of the FDIC 370 process.

  • Lead meetings with management and applicable subject matter experts across.

  • Complete applicable documentation within established due dates.

  • Lead the monthly and quarterly dry run process.

  • Responsible for the interpretation and implementation of applicable regulations.

  • Ensure deposit accounts are properly considered and classified as required by the regulation.

  • Lead the remediation efforts for all the applicable accounts.

  • Manage audits and examinations with applicable regulatory authorities.

  • Manage communications and roadblocks across units involved in the process, including Technology, and various business units. Also, must manage complex communications across all levels in the organization.

  • Responsible of timely providing applicable reports to stakeholders and clarify questions, when applicable.

  • Ensure dashboards are timely updated and provided to stakeholders.

  • Responsible of evaluating and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in the FDIC 370 process.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Experience

At least three years of related experience in financial reporting and auditing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's)

  • Mustbe fully bilingual

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written in English and Spanish.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established deadlines

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office: Excel (macros), Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Proficient in the use of SAP system.

  • Ability to learn tools such as Cognos, and SAP system.

  • Process improvements mindset.

  • Proficiency in the management of databases in Excel
