At Almeida & Dávila, we value team players who can also take charge of their own responsibilities, and if clear communication and proactive learning come naturally to you, you might just be the fit we're looking for.REPORTS TO: Bankruptcy Attorney & Operations ManagerESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-Partner with attorneys to meticulously prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and relevant documentation.-Engage clients with confidence and intelligence, gathering and analyzing critical financial data.-Remain updated on the ever-evolving landscape of bankruptcy laws and local rules.-Offer clear, effective, empathetic and timely communication with clients, prioritizing their needs and concerns.-Rigorously assess and validate client financial documents, such as credit reports, tax returns, and income statements.-Draft motions, responses, and varied legal documents central to bankruptcy cases.-Maintain a well-organized electronic repository of case files, ensuring efficient access and progression.-Schedule and prepare clients for the different stages of the bankruptcy case.-Oversee court deadlines with an eye on timeliness and detail.-Build positive relationships with clients, trustees, creditors, and court personnel, furthering our firm's reputation for excellence.PROFESSIONAL DUTIESAs an integral component of the Almeida & Dávila Law Firm team:-Engage in continuous professional development, proactively seeking knowledge from seminars and workshops specific to bankruptcy law.-Actively participate in community outreach, becoming the face of our commitment to financial education and growth.-Serve as an ambassador for our firm, showcasing pride and eloquence at various bankruptcy conferences, seminars and in social media.QUALIFICATIONS-Exceptional multitasking abilities, adept at managing diverse tasks simultaneously.-Always seeks innovative approaches to challenges.-Confidence and intelligence in abundance, complemented by an unwavering dedication to finding solutions.-Prioritizes and responds to requests with agility and accuracy.-Possesses superior communication skills, capable of connecting meaningfully with a diverse range of individuals.-A team player who thrives in collaborative environments, yet is self-driven to achieve personal milestones.-Demonstrates initiative in learning, questioning, and catalyzing positive change.-Bilingual English and SpanishEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE-An Associate’s degree in Accounting, Paralegal Studies, or a related discipline is preferred. A Bachelor's degree offers a distinct advantage.-A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal or in a similar role within the legal field.
