Liberty Latin America Billing Operations Analyst in San Juan, Puerto Rico

What´s the role?

The Analyst, Billing Operations, ensures accurate billing for our customers (B2C/B2B/B2G) across all lines of business in Liberty Puerto Rico. The role supports the operational execution of billing including following internal billing controls, billing processes, and billing reporting procedures to effectively manage billing and the customer sub-ledger across all revenue streams. The Analyst, Billing Operations responds to billing issues and monitors the company's revenue streams. You should have a keen eye for detail and should also be comfortable working with little direct supervision to meet tight deadlines in a collaborative environment with other team members. The work requires proven analytical skills from a Finance and / or IT capacity, including experience in internal controls, Telecommunications billing, data analytics, process optimization, and operational reporting.

How can you add value?

  • Provide operational support to the Retail Billing function across all customer segments and lines of business; ensure set tactical direction for the function aligned with company overall goals.

  • Continuously improving processes to ensure accurate and timely billing, delivering an excellent customer experience.

  • Responsible for Billing internal controls effectiveness.

  • Ensure regulatory, audit and financial controls compliance for all Billing activities.

  • Work closely with IT, Network, Core Finance, Customer Service, Commercial, Tax and Legal/Compliance teams to improve processes impacting cash flow.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all customer invoices.

  • Research and resolve complex billing issues using analytical and reporting tools as well as collaborate with cross functional peers.

  • Responsible for daily invoice analysis, validation, and submission for approval on invoices.

  • Perform invoice analysis to identify errors, discrepancies, and opportunities for savings.

  • Present customer concern issues, status reports and findings to manager/supervisor.

  • Demonstrates and ensures compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

  • Other functions related to the position may be assigned.

What do you need?

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or any related fields.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting/Finance/Billing in telecom industry.

Telecom experience and knowledge of the Finance domain, especially in disciplines such as Revenue Assurance, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit & Collections, Financial Planning, project or budget control and Business Intelligence.

Good in MS Excel required: Familiarity with databases and SQL is an asset.

Analytical skills to compile information requiring combinations of data from several sources, the ability to work with numbers and formulas.

Other Qualifications:

•Knowledge of telecommunications industry and its billing operations.

•Knowledge in operating various billing software programs including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Knowledge of Salesforce, Aria, Braintree UI are advantageous.

•Good in data entry, and accounting software programs.

•Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
