City Experiences is seeking Part-Time Marine Crew for our Seaward Services operations globally.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Part-Time Marine Crew for Seaward Services comprises Masters, Mates, Able Bodied Seamen, QMEDs, Chief Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and Stewards who are interested in and available for "casual" or on-call work. These Marine Crew members will be called upon for spot work as needed on a variety of vessels and projects. Seaward Services' fleet of vessels includes MSVs Endeavor and Explorer and the USNS Guam, the Alakai and Maine State Ferry operations in Maine, and Hornblower Wind's CTV operation. Our vessels are chartered globally, with operations in: Japan, Singapore, Hawaii, Guam, California, Maine, Florida, Massachusetts, Canada, and Virginia The hitches will vary depending on the needs of the vessel and the schedules of our part-time on-call crew members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • All mariners must meet the general requirements of the role into which they have applied. General responsibilities would include:
    • Mooring operations
    • Ship's maintenance
    • Engine rounds
    • Aiding in navigation of the vessel
    • Performing lookout duties
    • Monitoring passenger and crewmember safety
    • Exercising navigational expertise in the wheelhouse
    • Assisting the Master in all efforts
    • Engineering responsibilities
    • Steward roles in the galley
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • United States Coast Guard Merchant Mariner's Credential (MMC) with appropriate endorsement for the chosen role
    • Masters & Mates for CTV require 200 ton license; all others require 4400 or higher
  • Valid US passport
  • Valid TWIC card
  • STCW
  • Excellent career record in maritime
  • Flexibility with schedules
  • Desire to be involved in "spot" work or "on-call" work rather than long set hitches

Salary ranges:

AB $325 - $370 / day (based on level and ability to go to different vessels)

QMED $325 - $370 / day based on level and ability to go to different vessels

Cabin Stewards: start at $225 / day depending on vessel

Assistant Engineers: $500/day

Chief Engineers: start at $750 / day depending on vessel

Mates: start at $485.88 / day

Masters: start at $650P / day
