Description We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual for the role of a Controller in the financial industry. The position is based in San Luis Obispo, California. The Controller will be responsible for directing, maintaining, and controlling an accounting system that accurately reflects the financial position of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Direct, coordinate, maintain, and control an accounting system that accurately reflects the financial position of the organization.

• Safeguard organization assets and administer fiscal record keeping.

• Ensure accurate internal and external recording and reporting of financial transactions.

• Prepare reports for Senior Management, board of directors, auditors/examiners, external users, and government agencies.

• Oversee budgeting, cost accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, fixed asset, accounts receivable, branch statistical reporting, ATM balancing, and Internal Audit scheduling.

• Support some payroll functions, forecast capital needs and cash flows, monitor their performance, analyze results, and recommend adjustments.

• Ensure investment purchases and sales are recorded timely, accurately, and in accordance with investment guidelines.

• Monitor department policies and procedures and recommend improvements.

• Serve as a resource in all aspects of accounting.

• Ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and organization procedures.

• Assign, direct, and appraise accounting staff.

• Ensure that the Accounting Department supports the overall goals of the organization and that Accounting services are delivered professionally and efficiently.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge in ADP - Financial Services

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes

• CPA certification or Audit - Financial, Audit experience is preferred. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Deep understanding of Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Auditing skills

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

• Experience with Audit - Financial and Audit processes
