Description

We have an immediate opening for a talented Payroll Specialist to join a company located in San Luis Obispo. This is a contract to hire position, so we are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term commitment and can start immediately.

Responsibilities:

• Process payrolls for multiple locations, in a timely and accurate manner.

• Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.

• Collect, calculate, and enter data to maintain payroll information.

• Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages and report on this.

• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

• Ensure all payroll procedures comply with federal, state and local regulations.

• Assist with audits and inquiries related to payroll information.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2-4 years experience within a payroll position.

• Knowledge and understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and work ethic.

• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
